KoçScienceCope 10th grade

 KoçScienceCope (my writing: pages 26,27)

Following a semester break homework, I decided to write another project based on research I had done. After I finished that one, my teacher offered me to take part in KoçScienceCope magazine and publish an educational essay there. I chose snow pollution as a topic since I knew that it wasn't widespread knowledge and it could potentially harm both us and the environment. I wrote about how it happens, what it can cause and how we can prevent it so that the next time it snows people could have prior information about it. I enjoyed working on all the topics I have written about throughout the year for various different reasons such as homework, yearly project, school newspaper, geography and now science magazines. Since I normally spend my free time searching answers for every question that pops into my mind, I thought why not combine it with my passion for writing, which resulted in me finding out many other fields I am interested in.

This year I have written my yearly project on the Neolithic Revolution and through an extension of that topic, I also had a chance to write in the school geography magazine. It was great because I had to do a lot of additional research on the topic while also analyzing graphs and maps. It was eye-opening to see how people have manipulated themselves throughout the centuries and how we can learn from some of the past mistakes of our ancestors. Combining geographical factors with historical knowledge I wrote a research paper including my thoughts, and it was really entertaining. I am glad to have been able to take part in this magazine as both geography and writing are things that I like and even if I don't pursue them as careers, I want them to be a part of my hobbies.
